Saptamana trecuta am participat la editia a 7-a a Provision Security Day. Asteptam acest eveniment cu nerabdare pentru prezentarile interesante, dar mai ales pentru ocazia de a-mi revedea fostii colegi din Provision cu care am lucrat in 2010 si 2011. In cadrul companiei, am facut parte din echipa de Professional Services avand rolul de Security Consultant pentru solutii de Identity & Access Management. Privind in urma, pot spune cu mana pe inima ca a fost jobul la care am avut parte de cele mai multe provocari, am invatat cel mai mult, practic aici m-am format tehnic ca specialist pe Information Security. Eram mereu motivata sa fac mai mult, sa iau certificari, iar experienta cu clientii mi-a prins  foarte bine. Am avut ocazia sa petrec timp in cadrul departamentelor de security in diverse companii din Romania. Ca sfat pentru studentii care vor o cariera in IT Security: angajati-va la Provision! Expunerea si provocarile pe care le ai cat timp lucrezi acolo nu le mai gasesti decat in foarte putine locuri. Revenind in prezent, evenimentul a fost foarte bine organizat, mi-a placut prezentarea de Corporate Expionage tinuta de Ira Winkler, cea despre Cyber security & Risk tinuta de Jason Steer, dar si demo-urile Websense, McAfee. Per total a fost o zi minunata in care am aflat multe lucruri noi, am cunoscut oameni noi din acest domeniu fascinant, dar mai ales am revazut fosti dragi colegi din Provision. Am participat la acest eveniment si anul trecut la Sibiu si acum doi ani la Tulcea (cand am tinut un demo de Cyber- Ark, pe vremea aia facand parte din echipa Provision) si vreau sa felicit pe toti cei implicati in organizare deoarece totul a fost impecabil.  Last week I attended the 7th edition of Provision Security Day. I was looking forward for this event for the interesting presentations but also for the opportunity to see again my former Provision colleagues with who I worked in 2010 and 2011. In Provision, I was part of the Professional Services team having the role of Security Consultant for Identity & Access Management technologies. Looking back, I can honestly say it was the job that brought me so many challenges, I learned so much, practically, here I got trained as a specialist in Information Security. I was always motivated to do more, to get certifications and the experience with the clients was very good also. In this way I had the opportunity to spend time in Security departments of different companies in Romania. As an advice for students who want a career in IT Security: work for Provision! The exposure and challenges you have while you work there you don’t find in many other places. Coming back to present, the event was very well organized, I liked the Corporate Espionage presentation by Ira Winkler, the one related to Cyber Security & Risk by Jason Steer from FireEye and also the demos from Websense and McAfee. As a conclusion, it was a wonderful day and I found out new things, met great people working in this fascinating domain and also I saw my dear former colleagues. I attented this event last year at Sibiu and also two years ago at Tulcea (I even had a Cyber-Ark demo, being part of Provision team back then) and I want to congratulate everybody who was involved in the organization as everything was impeccable.
