Dupa atatea muzee, palate si cultura londoneza eu si Eve am zis sa experimentam o alta latura a Angliei, gastronomia. Si cum am fi putut face asta mai bine decat mergand la restaurantul unui chef local, Jamie Oliver. Eu stiam locul de mai bine de un an, am avut onoarea sa ii mai calc pragul de vreo trei ori, insa vroiam sa ii arat si Evelinei paradisul gastronomic. Asa ca n-am mai stat pe ganduri si am mers la cina la Jamie’s Italian in Guilford, oraselul unde voi sta pentru urmatoarele doua saptamani. Mi-a placut de la inceput atmosfera calda, prietenoasa, oamenii foarte amabili, dar si decorul interior al restaurantului. Exista si posibilitatea cumpararii unor accesorii pentru bucatarie marca Jamie, iar pe langa meniul normal exista si Daily Specials. Eu am optat pentru somon, Eve a ales pui cu ciuperci, totul intr-o interpretare noua si inedita. Mi-a placut modul in care a fost servita mancarea, faptul ca a fost foarte gustoasa, dar si atmosfera atat de draguta. Facand o paralela cu Autographe din Bucuresti la care am fost la inceputul anului, pot spune ca nu exista termen de comparatie – la calitatea mancarii, la ambianta… desi daca ma gandesc am platit cam aceasi suma de bani in ambele locuri.  Singurul loc din Romania care m-a convins este Mercador, fostul Arcade. Am mancat acolo cea mai buna salata de octopus din cate exista. Sper sa revin acolo curand. Pana atunci, puteti vedea cateva fotografii din restaurantul Jamie’s Italian.  One of the best ways to spend a night for me is going to an excuisite restaurant with family or close friends. After all the museums, palaces and english culture why not experimenting gastronomy in England? the best option for me and Eve was going to Jamie Oliver’s italian restaurant. I knew this place quite well, as I had the chance to come here three times before, but I wanted to experiment it with Eve also. So without second thoughts we went to dinner to Jamie’s Italian in Guilford, my home town for the next two weeks. I loved from the beginning the warm ambiance, the friendly people, but also the interiors. Here you can also buy accessories for your kitchen. Besides the menu, there are also the daily specials. I ordered salmon, Eve went for chicken and mushrooms and everything was in a new approach. I liked the way the food was served, the fact that it was very tasty, but also the environment. Comparing this with Bucharest restaurants, unfortunately only Mercador, ex Arcade is on the same level. Remembering the experience at Autographe,  where I went to celebrate my birthday,unfortunately I can say there is no comparison term. The only place to eat that impressed me in Romania is Mercador, I ate there the best octopus salad. You can see below a few photos from Jamie’s restaurant.
