St Paul’s Cathedral

united_kingdom_flag_24 Every trip in a capital city brought me also a visit a at least one cathedral. In Rome, for example, I saw in one week more churches as I would see in a lifetime, even in Portugal I visited Se Cathedral in my first day there. In Vienna I remember St Stephan’s Cathedral was the first place I saw when i got to the city center from the airport. In Budapest, I loved the place with the same name as it offered a lovely overview of the entire city.  There are a lot of things that I appreciate at cathedrals: no matter the religion, the architecture is always impressive: from Gothic to Romanic, neoclassical or baroque, every time I see details that I like and makes me day dream about how it was build centuries ago, how it survived to cruel moments in history, how it has restored to the form it is today. Additionally to these, I love visiting cathedrals for the positive energy I find there. I recently felt these energy at Saint Paul’s Cathedral in London.  I got there pretty late in the evening and I was lucky to assist to a wedding ceremony. This amazing building represents one of the London’s symbols and it deserves its place in top places to see in London. Its reflection in Thames by night will take your breath away. If you plan to visit London, don’t skip this place. Allow yourself a meditation moment here that will fill you with positive energy. You can see below a few photos taken there. From all the cathedrals you visit, which one is your favorite? For me it would be a very hard choice…
