Fashion and Textile Museum

Voi dedica cate un articol fiecarui loc special pe care l-am vazut weekend-ul trecut si le voi prezenta in ordinea in care le-am explorat.

united_kingdom_flag_24 Last time I visited London, I went where the lonely penguin wanted (at Westminster Abbey for example, an impressive place considering it’s importance and the fact that all the kings and queens were crowned and buried here). This time I visited the places where I felt I have something to learn or at least would be inspiring to me. Said and done! I’m proud that in two weekends in London I saw so much of it. This is maybe because I already knew the city that offers so many possibilities as sometimes is hard to choose. But I kept my balance and made a list with target destinations. Then I prioritized and so I got to have the most fashionable weekend in London. I will dedicate a post to every special place I visited and I will present everything chronologically. Today I reveal the first, the museum dedicated to fashion and textile. Studying the list of more than 100 museums available in this fabulous city, his name caught my eye and I said to myself I have to see what is all about. I was expecting an imposing museum about fashion history, about designers who changed the world and rooms dedicated to certain fashion periods. I got there and I found that the museum is pretty small and contains collections of Bellville Sasson, a Royal Family designer. I saw dresses created for Diana, Elisabeth II, sketches, textiles samples and so many dressed wore at important events by the Royal Family women. I analyzed all the dresses closely, the fabrics used and I really loved what I saw. And because sharing is caring I took some photos to show you the wonderful creations. Enjoy!

  1. Mmmm o catifea verde ar merge sa cumparam. 🙂
